Enjoy a fascinating historical journey through the South Adelaide Park Lands where you will wander through Victoria Park/Pakapakanthi, Carriageway Park/Tuthangga and Peppermint Park/Wita Wirra.
Explore community and culture, learn about August Pelzer - the first ‘City Gardener’, discover the mysteries and beauty of the flora and fauna, newly constructed wetlands, and reflect on how the past can meet the future - including the ways in which everyone can celebrate Adelaide's new international status as a National Park City
The walk will be guided by Professor Chris Daniels, Professor of Biology at the University of South Australia and Chair of the Green Adelaide Board and the City of Adelaide's Matt Jorgensen, Horticulture Team Leader.
The walk will traverse uneven ground so please wear walking shoes.
The walk will go ahead unless the forecast is for 'extreme weather' so please come prepared for the weather conditions on the day.
