South Australian Grassroots Ecosystem (SAGE), and the Nature Conservation Society of South Australia (NCS), are teaming up to bring together a community event focused on Active Resilience: adapting to a changing world. SAGE is an emerging initiative aimed at connecting, growing, inspiring, energising, and sustaining the movement for nature. Our intention for this event is the idea that our resilience and adaptabiliy to change are stronger when communities are better connected and informed.
The world around us is transforming rapidly; we must move with it to ensure the best outcomes for people and nature. Come along to make new connections and learn new skills to move more towards the challenges of our planet's future with hope, not fear. During this event, we will create space to connect with others in the community with light appetisers provided, as well as BYO picnic options available.
The voices of community leaders will be platformed during a short panel:
- Lachlan Mackenzie, Director of Permatil Global + Permaculture SA
- Dr Martin Freney, Director of Earthship Eco Homes
- Tiahni Adamson, Kaurareg woman, Community Engagement Officer at CH4 global
- Kirsty Bevan, CEO of Nature Conservation Society of South Australia
