A Night in Nature is for families looking to give camping a go! The event is a collaboration between Youth Inc. students and Rangers from the National Parks and Wildlife Service SA.
If you've never been camping, or haven't camped out in nature for sometime... we'd like to invite you to join us for this 24 hour event, where we'll host up to 20 families for an evening in the beautiful Para Wirra Conservation Park. Located within 1 hour of the city centre, the Para Wirra Campground offers campers the opportunity to connect with nature, family and friends.
During the afternoon, evening and following morning, there will be multiple activities available including Ranger-guided walks, Kids activities and a communal campfire with campfire snacks. Youth Inc. students will also look to cook a big breakfast for everyone to share in. A detailed program will be provided closer to the event.
A small fee of $25 per family (site) covers park entry fee, camping fee, dessert, breakfast and activities.
This event is for everyone, but specifically families who are new to camping. To assist the experience, Volunteer Rangers will also be on hand and the campground has accessible toilets and hard compact paths.
