Do you know that the practice of saving seeds is one of the oldest culture traditions used to protect plant species and ensure food security and diversity in our food system? This year at the Nature Festival, we are holding a Seed Swap workshop at the Bower Cottages Community Centre in Semaphore Park. Not only are we offering a platform for seed swapping, we will also be learning how to make your own origami seed packets! Seed swapping is a fantastic way to increase the variety of what you grow, encourage biodiversity as well as a good opportunity to strength community relationships. Come along to our Seed Bank Workshop, to engage with other gardeners, community members and let's develop a more sustainable and resilient food system!
