This event is for anyone who spends some time in a caring or advocacy role for a family member, who wants to support their own wellbeing in Nature.
We will gather to observe and journal nature at Brownhill Creek – where it meanders along in gorgeous landscaping near Mitcham Memorial Library.
It is a great outdoor space for letting Nature restore and rejuvenate us, and inspiring us to sketch and/or write about it (nature journaling). Nature journalling is not difficult and is for the purpose of creating Nature connection - slowing down to be with Nature with all the wellbeing benefits that come from that - it involves simple sketching, doodling, writing; however the mood takes you. We will then chat over a cuppa, before gently foraging for some Nature items to create a mandala together. The mandala will remain as an ode to our connection with Nature at this event.
BYO Chair, Hat, Water.
Materials provided for simple nature journalling eg - paper, sketching, colour wash
Details about where to meet will be emailed in confirmation of ticket purchase.
The event will go ahead regardless of weather, as we have an undercover option for backup.
This event is being facilitated by Cherie Rowett from Heart Choice Essentials, in collaboration with NOW-Inc.
