'Come and try' with the Friends of Lower Field River! Learn what it means to be a conservation volunteer working along an urban river in Hallett Cove and find out about some of our amazing local biodiversity.
A come and try event is a great way for you to learn about the conservation activities volunteers are undertaking locally, and to see if it's something you'd like to become involved in. This mini working bee will be followed by a guided bird walk and survey with John Gitsham, President of Birds SA.
You will receive training and be provided with tools and PPE to safely work on site. Please bring your own garden gloves and a trowel if you have them. The working bee component will be on undulating surfaces and requires participants to work on the ground, so feel free to bring knee pads too if you have them.
