Come and try with the Friends of Warriparinga! Learn what it means to be a conservation volunteer working along Warripari (Sturt River) in Bedford Park and find out about some of our amazing local biodiversity.
A come and try event is a great way for people to learn about what conservation activities volunteers are undertaking locally, and to see if it's something they'd like to become involved in. This mini working bee will be followed by a nature tour of the site with Revegetation Advisor Paul Green.
Paul writes, “We will marvel at how much environmental restoration can be achieved by a small group of dedicated volunteers working consistently for over 30 years. We will undertake a multi-sensory exploration of the revegetation. We will become acquainted with the animals which have re-colonised the revegetation. And finally, we will see some of the challenges encountered during revegetation programs.”
