The Macclesfield Bushcare Group, Macclesfield Community Association, and Peramangk community members from MACAI invite you to celebrate nature and culture at Crystal Lake Park, Devereux Street (near intersection with Pochin St), Macclesfield.
Enjoy a wide range of free nature-based activities including • Welcome to Peramangk Country • Explore Crystal Lake Park with a children’s nature trail • Create your own bush jewellery or clay animal model • Connect with bush flora through nature journaling with Wattle and Wonder • Celebrate the birds with a walk and talk with John Gitsham of Birds SA • Get up close to native fauna with Animals Anonymous • Learn about caring for our biodiversity with displays and demonstrations and more!
Savour the flavours of the bush with food from Meez on Plus for purchase or enjoy your own picnic in the park.
Time: 10.30 am - 2.30 pm
Bookings essential. Cost is $5.00 per adult and children attend for free.
Parking available on Devereux Street.
Important safety information: There is a river, lake and weir in the park. These are not fenced and adults will need to supervise children in their care.
Important access information: Access for those with mobility issues is limited due to uneven ground without paths, and steep level changes in parts of the park. There is an accessible toilet and limited accessible parking inside the park. Please contact organisers if you require more detailed information.
