Join me to discover the wonder of ecoprinting onto fabric using eucalyptus leaves in the beautiful space that is Gallery 1855. It is a magical way of upcyclying fabric that diverts clothing from landfill and gives us the chance to connect with nature thus tending to ourselves and the planet at the same time.
We will be printing onto size inclusive thrifted garments made of natural fibres including silk, linen and cotton that I have pre-prepared for you. Please come with an open mind, if you don't find the perfect piece for your own wardrobe , there is sure to be something for your mum, sister, aunty, daughter or neighbour.
Whilst your main piece is bubbling away we will experiment with a few other dyeing options as well as lots of open discussion so you go away with lots of knowledge to continue your dyeing journey. We will take a break so please bring a packed lunch and you may wish to join in a simple handstitiching community project that I will be launching on the day.
This workshop is suitable for adults 18+ only . Please bring a bag to take home your damp garment and some dishwashing gloves to protect your hands.
