Join us for a guided tour through the Gemtree Ecotrail a 10 hectare biodiverse haven for birds, plants and animals. The Gemtree Ecotrail contains a one kilometre informative trail and is a comfortable walk meandering through the bushland.
Your guides will be Melissa Brown, Viticulturist and Co-owner Gemtree Wines, Karl Winda Telfer - Senior Cultural Custodian Mullawirra Pangkarraand and Dana Miles Communications and Engagement Officer for Landscape SA Hills & Fleurieu.
Melissa will explain the restoration process of the Ecotrail and how it developed from cleared land with a rubbish infested, overgrown creek to the biodiverse haven it is today.
Karl is a Senior Custodian from the Mullawirra Pangkarra Tribe, he will delve into the connection between his tribe, the land and its spiritual heritage.
Dana has over 15 years of on-ground environmental experience with a passion for native plants, control of pest plants (aka pesky weeds) and inspiring the community to increase biodiversity on their properties.
Your tour will conclude with a sit down tasting of 4 of Gemtree’s finest wines and a picnic pack for two which is filled with local produce and includes a take home outdoor stemware wine glass each.
