Giva a Tree a Story
Interactive storytelling for active, nature-loving people aged 6 and older
Some trees lean and some intertwine. Some are hollow and others are burnt. There are trees that flower on the full moon, and those who are visited by birds who fly for months to get there.
Gather in the Barber Shop, and walk to two of the Adelaide Botanic Garden's many special trees. Hear the stories that Helen Lawry has written about the The Leaning Trees of Conifer Hill and the Great Shelter Tree of the Lawn, then enjoy a story making session where we invent a back-story for another one of the Botanic Garden’s more spectacularly idiosyncratic trees.
A fun, creative session for story appreciators and story makers of all ages.
