Local bat experts will take attendees on an informative walking tour, stopping at significant locations to discuss the incredible story of the Grey-headed Flying-fox.
Find out how they came to be in Adelaide, their ecology, behaviour and why we should protect them. There will be ample time to have your questions about these magnificent mammals answered by the experts.
Attendees for the Bat Ramble will meet at the entrance to the Adelaide Zoo near Plane Tree Drive. The tour will follow a loop in the local area, and will include viewing the sunset flyout, returning to the entrance to Botanic Park.
Please bring a pair of binoculars if you have one. We strongly discourage sharing binoculars.
We strongly encourage people to practice physical distancing of 1.5 metres wherever and whenever possible. Do not attend if you are unwell. Practise hand hygiene throughout the event (hand sanitiser will be available).
