The St Peters Billabong is not only recognised as an urban biodiversity 'hotspot' on the Adelaide Plains but is a beautiful place to visit.
The area is a rare example of a well-preserved, well-restored natural environment and is an interesting and tranquil place to visit. It is also home to the Council’s first native bee hotel.
Tours are led by by Friends of the Billabong.
Meet at the River Street car park, between 21 and 25 River Street, St Peters.
Bring a drink bottle and closed toe shoes. Dress weather appropriate.
Participants are required to walk and stand for an hour and there is a staircase to walk down. Limited seats scattered around the Billabong.
