Can you walk in silence? For some perhaps it’s a challenge as we pick our way down the hill to where our trail begins. At first, we focus on every step, but as the trail widens, so do our eyes as the vista opens up around us.
Feel the air on your face, open your ears to the sounds around you. What can you hear?
Join us to experience the sounds of the Adelaide Hills with a guided silent walk hosted by Mindfulness and Yoga Teacher Anne Rodgers and walker and bird lover John Legg.
This experience will include a nature meditation and a short talk about the local plants and birds to awaken your senses to the amazing biodiversity around us. By paying attention we can deepen our experience to the ambiance and atmosphere of nature.
Details: Although we don’t walk far, we do have a short descent over rough ground. Wear appropriate footwear and suitable clothing for the weather.
Walk starts 2pm and finishes 3.30pm. Please meet your guides John and Anne beforehand at Measday’s Lookout: take the Eagle on the Hill/Eagle Mountain Bike Park exit from the South Eastern Freeway to join the old freeway. The carpark is on the left a couple of hundred meters uphill from the old Eagle on the Hill hotel. 6km from the Toll Gate.
