Get to know one of South Australia’s most vulnerable plants by drawing it.
Join visual artist Louise Flaherty in a creative workshop opportunity to experience to a deeper understanding of threatened native SA plants. Explore individual plants though drawing/painting, writing and sound. The workshop will involve a collective listening to a sound piece, introduction to some of South Australia’s most vulnerable plants being worked on with the SA Seed Conversation Centre, and producing a postcard of one of those plants to share the knowledge of this plant with a friend. You will also have your own drawings made from the workshop to take home.

Louise Flaherty is an artist and arts worker based on Kaurna land Adelaide. Informed by quiet reflection on the natural environment with a focus of research native flora communities of South Australia. Louise is a socially engaged artist and her current practice spans drawing, installation and participatory practice with a focus on collaborative community driven projects.
