You get to create your own ‘oberig' (protector) in the shape of insects using seeds and grains. Traditionally oberigs are used as protective talismans for people, however, here they are made as a reminder to protect our environment and its non-human inhabitants. While making you are invited to contemplate and discuss the relationship between ants and the chequered copper butterfly as well as the symbiotic relationship of humans and our environment. This can be a quiet meditative process as well as a place for a conversation while keeping your hands busy.
Appropriate for all ages. Children under 10 to be accompanied by an adult.
