Neuro Hero is a social enterprise aimed at bringing soft skills and learning opportunities to young people with disabilities. We promote the participation of these young people in the broader community by running workshops where they contribute meaningfully to products and projects. We strongly support what the Nature Festival is doing for nature for all and have created a fun nature-based workshop for this.
This workshop is at the University of Adelaide Waite Campus and will involve learning the science behind ice-cream making and dessert flavor combinations with Sciren. The Waite Campus gardens and particularly the native garden feature in the flavor experimentation. You will be able to enjoy the accessible nature at the campus and immerse all your senses in the natural surroundings.
In collaboration with Hokey Pokey ice cream in Stirling, we will bring some of the best flavors from the workshop to the shop front for the local community to enjoy.
**We strongly advise bringing a support worker, parent, or carer along at no extra cost.
