What makes someone volunteer on a Sea Shepherd ship?
Josh, recently returned from helping to save the vaquita porpoise from relentless poaching, can tell you!
Josh was part of Operation Milagro V on the m/v White Holly. He spent several months on board, went beach cleaning in Mexico, and has seen amazing things above and below water.
After a quick information and safety briefing from our Marine Debris coordinators, we will be off to see what debris we can remove from our beautiful Glenelg beach (spoiler alert, last time we removed 5,805 items 😮).
But the fun won’t stop there! We will look closely at what’s been found, chat about how it would negatively affect the environment, and take part in the Global Brand Audit.
These events are a great way to engage with nature in a fun, community atmosphere.
Stay for as little or as long as you like, we’d love to see you there!
This is a covid-safe event, so although we have bags and buckets for you to use, we ask that you bring your own strong, (preferably) reusable gloves and wear closed-in shoes. Thank you 😊
