Join me to learn the ancient craft of pressing flowers and make your own pressed flower artwork.
The flower pressing process is a slow and beautiful way of connecting with nature. Take a walk with me through the grounds of Papershell Farm to collect leaves, flowers + grasses to press and preserve. Deepen your connection to nature as you observe + search for sweet specimens. We'll sit down inside the Almond Cellar Door to press our specimens between the pages of old books - a simple but effective and nostalgic way to preserve blooms.
Then, enjoy a glass of Papershell Farm's own wine and a serving of their almonds as we explore different styles of pressed flower artworks. I'll provide you with all the tools you might need to create your very own piece of original art from nature.
At the end of the workshop you will take home your new artwork, your freshly pressed specimens inside your new pressing book, and a guide to pressing more flowers so that you can continue to engage in this process: continuing to deepen your connection to nature long after the workshop has finished.
Your ticket includes:
- Use of tools and materials to create your own pressed flower artwork
