Join our intertidal expert, Peter Hunt, on a fascinating tour of Hallett Cove's intertidal reef this school holidays!
This is a great way to learn about our fascinating and unique intertidal reef life.
Participants will have an opportunity to participate in finding and identifying marine life on the intertidal zone.
Meet: at the Heron Way Reserve, Heron Way, Hallett Cove.
Bring: covered toe shoes (they will get a bit wet), camera, hat, sunscreen, a drinking water bottle and your curiosity!
Ages: Suitable for ages 5 to adult.
- Please wear covered toe footwear (e.g. sneakers, walking shoes, reef shoes, dive/snorkel boots).
- Please dress for the weather: warm clothing, towels, sunscreen, hats etc.
- This event is open to children over 5 years, however parents need to be responsible for and accompany their children on the reef ramble.
- Accessibility: there are stairs between the reef and carpark. The reef surface is uneven. Not accessible for strollers or wheelchairs.
