Come along to our Restore event on Saturday mornings during the Nature Festival to recognise our interconnectedness with nature. Join us as we build relationship with each other and with one particular space as well
Restore is a weekly practice, inspired by the words of the nature poet Mary Oliver’s instructions for living a life:
“Pay attention,
Be astonished
and tell about it.”
Each session begins with a poem or reflection followed by a time of silence together. You then have 30 minutes to do what you need to feel Restored - maybe continue to sit in silence, maybe go for a walk, maybe bring a journal and journal or create art. You might want to feel compelled to sit under a particular tree, to watch a particular insect or bird, or to notice particular flowers or funghi.
After our time of individual reflection, we will meet back together have the opportunity to share our reflections. Feel free to bring a thermos and morning tea for this part of the morning.
Restore is open to people with all or no spiritual backgrounds, but facilitated by Rachael Litchfield, a Spiritual Director from the Christian tradition with an interest in the work of the Center for Wild Spirituality.
