The South Australian Seed Conservation Centre (SASCC) and State Herbarium work together to document, understand and conserve the State’s flora.
At this fascinating talk, hear how the team at the SASCC have collected and stored seeds from more than 2,500 native plant species for long-term cold storage as insurance against extinction.
Tour a Seed Orchard located within Adelaide Botanic Garden which contains some of the State’s most threatened flora and hear how it used to support their conservation.
You will also hear how the team's work contributes to the Global Millennium Seed Bank Partnership, which operates across 80 countries.
