The Levi Creek Nature Reserves Conservation project is about protecting and restoring 40ha of crown land damaged by motorbike and 4WD use. The mostly open Mallee woodland, with grassland and riparian areas, is located 18km south east of Eudunda and is biodiversity rich. It’s home to more than 180 native plant species and many birds and reptiles.
Join Donna Lehman, Adrian Shackley and Rebecca Agius , local advocates for conserving the remnant vegetation on the Levi Creek water reserves, including replanting, weed control and flora and fauna monitoring.
In this workshop, you’ll learn about:
• Revegetating open Mallee woodland and rocky creek lines
• The challenges of restoring and managing grassland and riparian areas
• The importance of monitoring flora and fauna on reserves
• How the community can pitch in to establish and care for remnant Mallee, grasslands and creeklines..
