Life is so busy, fast paced and full of distractions. Childhood is gone before we know it. How can we slow down to be truly present with our children and connect with them and the world around us? Simplicity in nature is often the answer.
Come along to St Jude's Anglican Church on the Strand in Port Elliot and spend a nourishing time learning about the vital importance of storytelling in family life.
Storytelling is a skill as old as time itself. Stories bring us our world, our humanity and ourselves. Stories told about and in nature can be rich with meaning and connection.
Perhaps told while sitting under a tree eating lunch, while waiting for an appointment, driving in the car or while walking through the scrub. They can be told with more gravity when gathered intentionally in the bush, around a candle, at the beach or even in the backyard.

What will we do?
In this workshop, we will share and practice all kinds of stories in a safe and supportive environment. You will learn to tell stories that last only a minute and others that are added to day by day and week by week becoming part of your families memories. With practical experience under your belt you will be confident to tell more stories to your children.
Slow down and enrich life with simple stories. Everyone can do it! If you would like to add a little magic to your family life - come join us!
