Over the last few years the Bassett Street Reserve Neighbourhood Group in Willunga has been working in liaison with the City of Onkaparinga to lovingly improve the Reserve with new native species plantings and the establishment of a ‘Pocket Forest’ to grow nature play elements and increase biodiversity. We would like to tell a ‘story’ of the nature of Bassett St Reserve with art works stenciled onto surrounding timber railings including images of insects, plants and birds that we share the reserve with. Come along and explore this beautiful location and help create the Book of Nature for Bassett St. There will also be an opportunity to create a community Mandala with natural materials from the site.
Assisted by local artist Evette Sunset, Melissa Hellwig, Bassett St and Willunga neighbours.
