Have you ever wondered if trees feel lonely at times?
Have you ever wondered if trees talk to each other and to us?
Can trees hear us and feel our deepest secrets, dreams and concerns?
Have you ever wondered if trees travel?
Join Cinzia and the Nature Festival, in a playful exploration of our interconnectedness with trees and the environment they inhabit as she creates a space for our bodies, imagination, memories and creativity to find expression and reveal our own individual questions.
This workshop is tailored for families, groups and adults who love being in nature and desire to safely explore the interdependency with trees and wish to find new resources, orientation and sense of belonging. We will do so through storytelling, movement, sensory explorations, drawing, gifting natural sculptures and sharing. We will be mainly working in one area of the beautiful Adelaide Botanic Garden, Kaurna Country and activities will be tailored to the group needs and the Garden.
Cinzia will endeavour to create a space of care for each other and for the environment and will invite a look at the future from a place of gratitude, play and curiosity. Recommended for children between 4 and 12 years old.
Meeting point: Friends’ Gate on Plane Tree Drive, Adelaide Botanic Garden (B7 on the map)
Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes, bring water and be sun smart.
Feel free to bring a picnic in case you want to hang around at the beautiful gardens afterwards (but let's not feed the wildlife).
Cinzia Schincariol is a dance artist, somatic practitioner and an infant development movement educator working between Adelaide and Europe.
