An Australian first in wellness, a 'walksublime' is a highly personalised, relaxing walk in nature with a trained horse matched to you as your walking companion. Designed for those with no horse experience you’ll be fully supported by your trail guide and learn how to read and communicate with your horse.
The ultimate experience? When you’re relaxed enough that your horse starts to walk in synchrony with you as their leader. You’ll know it when it happens – you’ll feel it. A comfortable, natural connection based on mutual trust. Your guide will show you how you can reach this.
Why walk instead of ride?
Mindfulness comes naturally when walking in the company of a horse. An entirely different experience to riding. Free from concerns of ‘controlling’ your horse up there on their back, your mind can focus on your horse and what they may be noticing. Up close and personal with a majestic being, a privilege to be their leader.
You’ll learn how to establish trust by observing, acknowledging and responding to your walking partner as the trail unfolds. There’s plenty of time to take in detail of your surroundings through your senses. Immerse yourself in birdsong and soothing hoofbeats. Be fully present in nature.
This experience is all about slowing down... Living in the moment... Sharing peace and understanding with another.
Trail location
You’ll walk in a selected pocket of the ever-peaceful Kuitpo Forest, a short drive from the little town of Meadows in the Adelaide Hills.
