Who are Adelaide’s ‘citizen scientists’ and how have they become our nature’s first responders?
Mornings’ presenter Rory McClaren will be joined by 891’s favourite environmental expert and ‘zoologist at large’, Professor Chris Daniels, to look at how citizen scientists are providing vital information during environmental crises, helping researchers detect threats, protect wildlife and better understand our changing environment.
From beachgoers and fishers documenting the devastating impacts of the algal bloom, to birdwatchers and coastal communities helping track bird flu in South Australia's wildlife, ordinary people have become the eyes and ears of nature.
