Blossom & Bud, Springtime Picnic
Celebrate the arrival of spring, and the return of Daylight Savings, with an afternoon of seasonal food, wine and nature at Jauma Farm in the Adelaide Hills.
As cherry trees burst into blossom and vineyard buds unfurl, join us for a guided walk through our organic farm, exploring the beauty and ecology of the growing season. Inspired by Nature Festival’s theme, Seed, we’ll share stories from the farm, and the long journey from first blossom and bud, right through to fruit and harvest.
Following the farm tour, relax into a long spring picnic among the blooming farm, with abundant shared grazing tables of homemade baked goods, seasonal produce snacks from the garden, local cheeses, olives and small goods, and something sweet to finish. Experience a guided tasting journey of Jauma's spring wines, an invitation to slow down, share food, and savour springtime together.
Your Spring Picnic looks like:
2pm- arrival and a glass of something fizzy to cheers Spring at the cellar door
2:15pm- head off for a guided spring farm walk with James and Sophie, through blossoming orchards and spring vineyards, sharing stories of organic farming, lessons from the land, and seasonal renewal
3:15pm- wine tastings and shared spring grazing feast under the blossoms. A relaxed afternoon of community, nature, and springtime celebration. Wines available by the glass or bottle to purchase and enjoy during the afternoon, with non-alc options for designated drivers.
5-5:30pm- slowly meander back to enjoy the sun-filled evening.
Designed as an intimate spring gathering, Blossom & Bud is limited to 30 guests, 18 years and over, allowing time to wander the farm, share stories, taste wines and enjoy a leisurely picnic together.
Wear your favourite spring attire, a pair of good boots for farm walking and and a jacket for the PM. We are welcoming the first day of Daylight Savings- the threshold into the warm season ahead.
