Featuring: The Maes, MANE, and Katie Pomery in the outdoor Tree Theatre
'Music flow, people flow, air flow, cloud flow, swamp flow, camp low, star show, fire glow'
Nestled among the trees at the Lot50K regeneration project, McLaren Vale, Nature Festival invites you to an evening of music and nature.
This event is a celebration of music’s timeless power to tell stories of connection — to nature, to each other, and to the greater cycles of the natural world.
As the sun sets against the backdrop of the River Red Gums of the Willunga Basin, enjoy live performances from three stunning acts:
MANE's bold vocals get any crowd moving and singing along to the saddest of songs.
Katie Pomery's soft-folk songistry takes inspiration from writers like Adrianne Lenker and Laura Marling.
Victorian duo The Maes, bringing their signature acoustic warmth and heart-melting harmonies.
Before the music kicks off, there will be an optional ecological walk and talk where you can explore the project and hear more about the impacts on the ground (limited spots available for the walk and talk, so get in quick!). Throughout the evening, you’ll also hear from local Gavin Malone, land steward of L50K and the team from Biodiversity McLaren Vale, who are leading inspiring biodiversity regeneration work in the region.
Tickets are $50, with a limited number of camping tickets available for $65 for those who want to stay on and sleep under the stars.
Ecological walk and talk will start at 4 pm for regular ticket holders and 10 am the next day for campers. Music kicks off from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, featuring DJ Tom Borgas to round off the evening.
BYO food, drinks and ground rug or low-level seating; there will be no seating provided, but plenty of lush grass to sit on to make up for it.

The Maes bring modern folk to life with lush harmonies and acoustic mastery on guitar, mandolin, fiddle and banjo. Born in Central Victoria, the sisters grew up immersed in a melting pot of music from around the world washed up on stolen land. The Maes are outstanding live, with engaging storytelling and spine-tingling harmonies. The sisters draw their audience in like your sweetest and scariest friend. With echoes of Gillian Welch and The Waifs, there is a timeless luminescence and simplicity to the songwriting and sound of Maggie and Elsie Rigby.
MANE burst onto the scene with 2018’s ‘Chasing Butterflies’, hitting #7 on Spotify’s Viral Charts and surpassing 2M streams. Her debut EP ‘Coping Mechanisms’ and follow-up ‘Caught in the Undertow’ (Rolling Stone AU’s Record of the Week) cemented her as a rising force. She’s played major festivals like Groovin The Moo and Bigsound, toured with Matt Corby and The Kooks, and completed two U.S. tours including SXSW and New Colossus Festival.
Katie Pomery is a musician based on Kaurna Yerta, spending her time in the soft-folk realm. Katie's songwriting speaks to the human experience – and all the feelings that come with it. Taking inspiration from writers like Adrianne Lenker and Laura Marling, as well as experiences of love and loss, prove that all things Katie mean big, brave, and open-hearted.
All ticket profits will be reinvested in L50K and Biodiversity McLaren Vale to support their ongoing biodiversity regeneration work.
Join us for this inaugural musical offering from Nature Festival, an evening of live performance amongst the reeds. It’s going to be truly magic.
