Escape to the spectacular Fleurieu Peninsula for a restorative four-day/3 night retreat that celebrates creativity, nature connection and wellbeing as part of the SA Nature Festival. Set at the stunning and luxurious Kings Beach Retreat, overlooking the dramatic Waitpinga coastline, this small-group experience invites participants to slow down, reconnect with themselves and immerse in the natural world. The retreat includes guided nature journalling, EcoArt activities, mindfulness, meditation, gentle movement, yoga nidra and opportunities to explore the surrounding coastal environment.
Participants will enjoy time for reflection, creative expression and connection with others in a supportive and nurturing setting. Nutritious meals, art materials and a journal are provided. An essential oil roller workshop with Louise Gutsche is also included. Massage is an optional extra.
This retreat is for both men and women and a companion rate is available for non-participating people that share a room and includes breakfast and dinner. Non-participating people are not permitted in same room as retreat activities during the day for privacy. Relaxation time for walks and sightseeing are included on Friday and Saturday afternoons.
Kings Beach Retreat will take your breath away- a dramatic fusion of raw nature and timeless architecture with spectacular views. Located on the prominent Kings Head a little over an hours drive from Adelaide, this hidden gem (designed by renowned architect Ian Hannaford) provides 360 degree views which encompass rural vistas with grazing cattle and kangaroos, the spectacular Waitpinga Cliffs, West Island, the Bluff and, in the far distance, the sandhills of the Coorong.
Paintings by acclaimed painter & sculptor Robert Hannaford enliven the walls of the retreat. The secluded Kings Beach and its ancient Aboriginal fish trap is only a two minute walk away along with the famous Heysen Trail.
Cost of retreat: Prices start at $470 (earlybird until 31/7) for the retreat only and no accommodation. Extra cost for accommodation for 3 nights is triple share ($250), twin share ($430) and single rooms ($950).
