Seed Sounds is a live experimental music event that explores how environmental sound can become the starting point for musical creation. Prior to the performance, members of our electronic music collective will record the natural soundscape of the Aldinga Arts Eco Village. These recordings become the "seed" from which an entirely improvised electronic performance grows.
Rather than treating nature as background ambience, the performance invites audiences to listen closely to the relationships between environmental sound, technology and musical imagination. Birds, insects, wind, water and human activity become active musical participants as performers respond to the recordings in real time using electronic instruments.
