Sketchy Monotype Field Walk is a full-day, hands-on workshop in 2 parts that invites you to connect and collaborate with the natural world through walking, experimental drawing and printmaking. Guided by artists Fran Callen and Georgina Willoughby, you will explore John E. Brown Park (Park 27A) in the Adelaide Park Lands, responding creatively to the Nature Festival 2026 theme, Seed.
The morning session will help you to loosen up, build confidence in mark making and explore experimental approaches to drawing, grounded in close observation and curiosity.
The afternoon session introduces trace monotype printmaking techniques to explore how movement, touch and chance can produce unique and expressive visual records of place.
Between the two sessions, you are invited to enjoy a shared lunch over a canvas table top drawing.
Whether you’re an artist, a nature enthusiast or simply curious to try something new, this unique outdoor workshop offers an inspiring opportunity to experience the Adelaide Park Lands through creativity, reflection and discovery. Suitable for all ages and experience levels.
