Spring into 140 Years celebrates 140 years of State Flora Nursery, Belair, and the beginning of the spring planting season. As one of South Australia's oldest native plant nurseries, State Flora has a long history of connecting people with nature through gardening, revegetation and conservation.
This free, family-friendly event will encourage visitors to learn about native plants and their role in supporting biodiversity.
The event will also feature a display of archival photographs highlighting the nursery's rich history and contribution to South Australia's natural environment over the past 140 years. Families can enjoy free children's activities, explore the nursery grounds and receive expert advice on selecting native plants suitable for local conditions.
To mark this milestone, State Flora will also be giving away 140 tube-stock native plants, with one free plant provided with every purchase while stocks last.
