Our incredible Flying-Fox colony tours are so popular, you won’t want to miss out. We offer a relaxing and friendly educational evening for all ages - all within the home of Adelaide’s Grey-headed flying-foxes.
The Secret Life of Bats Flying-Fox team is back with another four events for The Nature Festival.
We will take you on an educational tour of Adelaide’s incredible Flying-Fox colony, right within their home. Take a leisurely stroll with us along the path of the colony where you will learn all about these often misunderstood animals, the facts, the fiction and everything in between.
We will stop at relevant points to dive into discussion of their intriguing lives. Questions are always welcome.
Bring a picnic, chairs and blankets!
After we have concluded the tour we will set up our picnics, settle in and watch the mesmerising fly-out as the colony heads out for their night of foraging, pollinating and seed dispersal. We will be there with you all the way to answer all of your questions.
Meet us for a prompt 5pm start on the bridge to the left of the zoo entrance on Plane Tree Drive.
We look forward to you joining us for a fantastic evening you won’t forget.
Wear comfortable shoes and warm clothes.
This event will go ahead rain or shine.
