Explore the natural world through intimate mark making using simple materials.
Margaret will guide participants into her artmaking practice through close observation, material exploration and discovery. Working with charcoal, erasers and Indian ink, she will explore the delicate possibilities of mark making as participants respond to the natural world through gesture, layering, disruption and memory.
The workshop will be held in the Lounge Gallery. Participants will be surrounded by Margaret’s drawings of the Aldinga Scrub and nearby suburban encroachment. The workshop invites an intimate engagement with our natural environment through mark making, observation and interpretation.
Margaret will supply paper for the workshop however artists are requested to bring the following materials. A light afternoon tea will be provided.
