Join the OzFish Fleurieu Chapter for a Fleurieu Fish Talk: ‘A Dive into Underwater Forests’ an evening of fish habitat science and restoration from beneath the waters of the Fleurieu Peninsula.
South Australia is home to underwater forests made up of seagrass meadows, kelp forests and shellfish reefs that provide vital fish habitat, ecosystem services, and support healthy coastal waters. However, they are facing growing pressure from habitat degradation, climate change and pollution. Understanding and supporting these ecosystems is essential to keep them healthy and functioning. That’s where you come in!
Hosted at the Hotel Crown Victor Harbor, this event will feature short talks from marine scientists and restoration practitioners about local underwater forests and how you can get involved in supporting them.
