Long time collaborators – award winning multi-hyphenated visual artist and writer, Alyssa Powell-Ascura and experimental sound artist Louis Bullock – undertake their first duo artist residency at Sauerbier House, responding to the area of Onkaparinga through the 'flow' of conversations, reciprocity and curiosity.
Join us at the launch Saturday 27 September 2-4pm.
Sama-sama (meaning Together) is an interactive, conceptual exhibition that bridges visual art, sound and play. The collaborators are inspired to meet the concept of 'communitas', speaking of various experiences adding layers to a site, or memory or collective culture.
The artists open dialogues through their collaborative practice and participatory art approach that challenges traditional boundaries, reimagining art as a space for connection and collective empowerment.
