Elemental Flow: Returning to the Wild Self
Step out of the constructed world and into the living forest of Island Alive for Elemental Flow—a sensory, land-based experience exploring Earth, Air, Fire and Water. This 3-hour journey blends cultural ceremony, nature-based art, breathwork and contrast therapy to awaken your wilder self and deepen connection to the natural world.
We begin with a smoke offering using local Grey Bush (Kengk Muldi), led by Creative Field Guide Ky Alecto-Mukari, to symbolically leave behind distraction and enter presence. A deep Acknowledgment of Country follows, honouring Land, Waters, Winds, Ancestors and the more-than-human world, grounding us in the Dreaming of place.
Participants are then guided through a creative exploration using charcoal made on-site from native Calitris pine. Through barefoot forest walking, tree rubbings and sit spot reflection, you'll engage the senses and reconnect through touch, texture and shared creativity—no artistic experience required.
The second half invites embodiment. With Wim Hof Instructor Amy Pysden, experience guided breathwork under the trees, then rotate through the steam sauna, ice bath and wood-fired hot tub. This experiential flow between air, earth, fire and water returns us to an unfamiliar yet innate internal space - a remembering and somatic reflection of how we used to feel and FLOW within our own bodies, wildly connected to the natural world.
Whether you’re local or traveling from the mainland, this is a rare chance to immerse yourself in the untamed rhythm of Kangaroo Island—held by two guides deeply connected to this land. Sip locally made teas, taste wild-foraged flavours and let the forest remind you of your body’s innate intelligence. You’ll leave not only nourished, but more attuned to your senses, more connected to the Earth and more in Flow with yourself and the wider, living world.
Small, intimate group sizes ensure a high-quality, grounded experience. Book early to secure your place.
