Presented in partnership with Nature Festival and City of Salisbury, join us in celebrating the beauty of spring with Zhao and Alain as they share an unforgettable musical journey of friendship, flourishing pastures, vibrant greenery and flowing waters. Blending the enchanting sounds of the traditional Guzheng with the warmth of the Guitar, their performance captures the spirit of renewal, harmony, and nature. Set against the peaceful surroundings of the beautiful Watershed Café, this performance invites audiences of all ages to relax, connect, and embrace the sights, sounds, and fresh energy of the season.
Having explored and performed an eclectic variety of styles and genres, Alain is a guitarist drawing influences from Flamenco, Brazilian, Classical, Jazz, Rock, Indian and Latin styles, creating a hauntingly beautiful New Age and contemporary sound; whilst Zhao is a contemporary guzheng player who has sought to experiment in different works each time she collaborates with different artists - often playing with punctuation, textures, accents, tension, emotions and silence.
Celebrating Nature Festival - the duo will be crossing their cultural backgrounds and speak with a new language through their music - in resonance with the flowing water around them at Watershed Cafe.
