Jessica Curtis and Ashleigh Anne Bruza are coming together for a special cross-cultural art collaboration for Nature Festival, creating paintings that explore our deep connection to nature, Country, and the cosmos.
This exhibition features artworks co-created by both artists, with each piece carrying the shared touch, vision, and creative energy of the collaboration. This process becomes an embodiment of what art can teach us as human beings: how to come together through co-creation, community, friendship, and shared purpose.
Through this work, Jessica and Ashleigh honour the natural world and reflect on how creative collaboration can inspire care for the environment, build connection, and help imagine a more beautiful future.
Join the artists for opening night from 5–8pm on Thursday 8 October. The evening will feature live plant music by Sacred Resonance, where guests can touch and interact with plants as they respond in real time through music. An organic wine bar and other drinks will be available from The Banksia Tree Café.
Ashleigh is a proud Wirangu/Kokatha woman & an emerging Aboriginal artist. A self taught multidisciplinary artist, Ashleigh’s work is shaped by her strong connection to culture, Country, and community.
Jessica is an interdisciplinary artist who engages in creative projects & collaborations that bring the spiritual & scientific together; exploring themes pondered by the great mystical traditions of the Earth which looked to the stars as home.
