Join us at the Port Environment Centre as we celebrate the incredible world of seeds through creativity, conversation and hands-on learning.
Here’s what’s happening:
4:00 – 5:00 pm | Create Seed Keyrings, Magnets & Keepsakes
Explore the remarkable shapes, textures and ingenious designs of Australian native seeds and seed pods. Using Bugs n Slugs eclectic collection of seeds, create your own unique keyring, magnet or keepsake to take home while learning about the diversity and beauty of native plants.
5:00 – 6:00 pm | Community Eco Discussion
Join a relaxed community conversation exploring our connection with seeds and the important role they play in biodiversity, food security and community resilience.

6:00 – 7:30 pm | Growing from Seed (planting workshop)
Join Gordana from the Ngutunka West Lakes Seed Library to learn the basics of seed saving, planting and growing in Adelaide. Discover why heirloom varieties, supporting wildlife-friendly gardens and community seed sharing matter, then get hands-on planting your own seeds.
🌼 FREE Take-home Seedlings 🌼
Plant up to three biodegradable pots with a selection of flowering, herb or vegetable seeds to take home.
