Event hosted by
The Pocket Park People
We are two loosely formed multi-generational groups living in Eden Hills with a shared interest in protecting and restoring local vegetation. We have established two 'pocket parks' ( Pekina Pocket Park and Wilpena Pocket Park). Both depend on neighbourhood involvement to plant and maintain them. Pekina PP demonstrates what can be achieved in restoring a seriously degraded building site, and Wilpena PP shows the transformation of a tiny neglected corner of 'verge'. Participants in our hands-on workshops will learn how to identify, propagate and plant indigenous plants to restore understory habitat in any available corner.
