This workshop blends education, art, and social connection to bring together women on the land, fostering community while strengthening environmental awareness.
Participants will be guided in the art of mosaics by skilled instructor Jan Obst, whose teaching has inspired the creation of several community-led mosaic walking trails. Jan will take participants step by step through designing, laying out, and grouting their own piece. With all materials provided, each participant will have the opportunity to create a unique mosaic paver.
Set at the picturesque Xmas Rocks, Willalooka—within the range of the endangered South-eastern Red-tailed Black Cockatoo—this workshop offers a welcoming space for property owners to learn about the species and get involved in recovery efforts such as monitoring, reporting sightings, revegetation, and habitat protection.
Participants will explore practical initiatives like Cockies Helping Cockies farm tree program, and gain insights from Trees for Life’s paddock tree program to apply on their own properties.
