Join us for River Magic, a two-day art experience where families, children and visitors of all ages can help create a large-scale, collaborative river artwork.
Guided by South Australian artist Ruby Chew and her Studio team, participants will be invited to make creatures, plants, patterns or written reflections inspired by Karrawirra Parri (the River Torrens) and Nature Festival’s theme of flow. All materials are provided.
This free activity encourages connection to the natural world through creativity and play. The final artwork will remain on display throughout Nature Festival.
Historic images from the Library’s collection will be exhibited nearby, offering stories and snapshots of the river’s past, and how it has shaped Adelaide’s community life over time.
