Local singer/songwriter Jamie Lena from Songlark Choir, will be delivering a series of songwriting workshops as a means to express climate grief, in particular that in relation to the current harmful algal bloom wreaking havoc on our local marine life.
Communities have long shared music and story telling as a way to process events and emotions of all kinds, through a constructive unifying medium.
This songwriting workshop is suitable for songwriters of all experience and will include prompts to stir the experiences of each participant and further guide these experiences into song form.
Participants are encouraged to bring an instrument if they can/want to. There will also be options for those who do not play an instrument in the form of mp3 files.
