Creatively engage in a coastal-themed restorative art session including painting and storytelling. An opportunity to explore our interconnectedness with the natural world and active hope as we face this ecological crisis. We will hold space to reflect on our love for the coast, our eco-anxiety following the harmful algal bloom and developing balance and resilience through art and connection. Participants can work on both a collaborative art piece as well as an individual one. No experience in art required.
Facilitated by Mel Koolmatrie, a proud Ngarrindjeri, Ramindjeri, Boandik and Paramungk multi-disciplinary artist, and Sophie Hayat of Experiencing Marine Sanctuaries. Funded by Experiencing Marine Sanctuaries (EMS) and thanks to a donation from the 2025 Coastal Ambassadors Art Exhibition.
