Botanic Park / Tainmuntilla: ‘Home’ is a meeting place
A traditional meeting place on the lands of the Kaurna people, then for the Salvation Army and Speakers’ Corner through to WOMADelaide. Hear about the history and varied uses of the park since 1874. Features include: a diverse collection of exotic and Australian native plants; one of the first pinetums in Australia as South Australia did not have a ready source of building timber; an impressive mature canopy and avenue of Plane Trees.
