What exactly is a landcare working bee? This meet up is for anyone who has always meant to get involved, but just never quite found the time to get started. Come along with other Nature Festival participants, meet our volunteers, ask any burning questions, and see what you think.
Volunteers will spend the morning maintaining host and nectar plantings or adding mulch to protect plants along the waterline. Get ready for a great morning outdoors learning about local-native plants and topping up your community spirit. You will be surprised what we can do together
Meeting point: go to the rear carpark and look for the volunteer trailer/registration point. Your volunteer leader will be in a high viz vest.
OHS: Please dress for the outdoors. Long sleeves, pants, hat and sun glasses. BYO water bottle. The friends will provide tools, equipment, PPE, insurance, instruction and morning tea.
As a thank you for all those willing to give this a go, we offer first time volunteers a voucher to the value of $20 for native plants from State Flora. Vouchers for Volunteers is kindly supported by City of Marion community grants program.
