Craniosacral therapy, healing with nature.

Embark in a sensory and relaxing experience that will help you reconnect to your own nature and meld with the nature surrounding you.

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system, which has been shown to improve the functioning of the central nervous system, as well as many other systems of the body, such as digestive, musculoskeletal, respiratory, circulatory, and more. CranioSacral therapy facilitates the body’s natural and innate healing processes.

On the other hand, it is well researched that nature makes us healthier and happier human beings. Nature improves our physical health; by lowering our blood pressure and reducing cortisol so we feel more relaxed. It has been linked with reduction of cardiovascular, respiratory and long-term illness. Nature also increases our self-esteem and improves our mood and emotions. It reduces our anger, frustration and anxiety. At a cognitive level, Nature reduces our mental fatigue, restores our attention and even improves our productivity!

So, why not combine the benefits of both? Let's bring CranioSacral therapy outdoors! So you can heal from within and with Nature.

Led by Kym McGee, Advanced Accreditation in Nature Based Therapy, start relaxing with a sip of herbal tea to engage your senses and connect with nature.

Then lie on a plinth under a gumtree and relax for about 45 min during 1:1 CranioSacral Therapy led by Physiotherapist and Horticultural Therapist Lucrecia Sergi. Further invitations to connect with nature and yourself through your senses will be infused in you session.

Before you leave, you are welcome to do a self-led, slow pace walk at Sturt Gorge Recreation Park. There is a beautiful, grade 1 winding path just next to Flagstaff Hill Scouts. Meet our beautiful birdlife, echidnas and small family of kangaroos.

Allow 2 hours for the whole experience to make the most of it :)
